If you're going to SXSW 2015, please join us Friday, March 13 starting at 5:00PM in the Hilton Austin Downtown for Building Gender-Balanced Startups, which as the title suggests, is a panel to discuss and share practical steps for creating a next generation of startups with more equal gender representation. We're very proud that our fearless CEO Vanessa Camones will be the moderator, and equally proud that we're being joined by luminaries of the tech world with deep experience and insights on this topic, including:
- Julie Ann Horvath of &yet, a veteran designer and developer who shared what she learned from her experiences at GitHub at our Real Talk with Women in Tech event last year.
- Colleen Taylor of TechCrunch, who wrote the very influential post, What Makes Girls Fall In Love With Computers And Code?, hosted a TechCrunch discussion of Sheryl Sandberg's Lean In, and also joined us as a panelist for Real Talk.
Follow us on Twitter where we'll be live-Tweeting the event. We are also creating an SXSW e-mail list to update attendees about our panel, and invite you to other tMa events/mixers/parties. Drop us an an e-mail with the subject line "SXSW": firstname.lastname@example.org.
