Stewart Alsop is a veteran VC and Partner at Alsop Louie, and we're very proud to announce he's joining our SXSW panel this Friday at 5pm, Building Gender-Balanced Startups. Stewart is ideally suited to speak on that topic as a venture capitalist who led investments (while at New Enterprise Associates) in two woman-founded companies, MailFrontier and Scalix, and has made personal investments in 9 woman-founded companies. (Alsop Louie has also invested in 2 women-founded companies, Motive Medical and Wickr.)
“I don’t care whether the founders of companies I invest in are men or women; white, red or yellow, or even green Martians," as Stewart puts it. "Our firm is color and gender blind when it comes to building companies. We are focused on making money for our investors by investing in companies that tackle hard technology problems and have the potential to change the world. I love working with women way more than little green Martians and invest in women-lead companies whenever I think the woman is a great entrepreneur can make me and my investors money."
Hope you can join us at SXSW to hear more. We will also live Tweet the panel conversation as it happens, so please follow us @themixgency.
